Amanda Holden’s High-Rise Abseil for Jurassic World: Rebirth!

We’re excited to finally shout about a recent project that’s hit the press!
In the pre-launch of Jurassic World: Rebirth, Amanda Holden completed an abseil down a 30-storey London building in a challenge inspired by the film, and Big Bang Experiences was behind the scenes making it all happen safely.
Working with Universal Pictures and Global's Heart Breakfast team, we were brought in to design and deliver the full abseil setup. From structural rigging and anchor systems to on-site safety and briefing support, our focus was on giving Amanda the confidence (and control) to take on the descent – and bringing a bit of movie magic to life in the process.
To add to the excitement, Amanda was challenged to name as many dinosaur species as she could remember on her way down, mirroring a tense escape scene from the Jurassic World films. It was a fun twist that added even more suspense (and laughs) to an already adrenaline-filled stunt.
In the lead-up, Heart listeners were invited to guess how many she'd name, with a dino-sized prize up for grabs: a UK family getaway to a dinosaur-themed adventure park, including a two-night stay in a 4-star hotel with breakfast.
Jurassic World: Rebirth, the latest instalment in the blockbuster franchise, stars Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey. Set to bring a bold new vision to the series, the film promises thrilling action, high-stakes drama, and a fresh take on the dinosaur universe fans know and love. With such a stellar cast and the legacy of the franchise behind it, excitement around the release has been sky-high, and this stunt was the perfect way to feed it.
