Big Bang Abseil at Trafford Palazzo: A Thrilling Success for Charity!
The Big Bang Abseil at Trafford Palazzo was an adrenaline-fueled event that brought together 14 incredible charities for a weekend of community spirit, and fundraising. Over the course of June 27th-29th, participants took on the challenge of abseiling 170 feet to raise much-needed funds for their causes. Today, we’re excited to share the impressive fundraising results from four of the charities involved, showcasing the incredible dedication of their participants.
Critical Care Support Network: £4,650 Raised
The Critical Care Support Network had 11 fearless fundraisers take on the Big Bang Abseil, raising an outstanding £4,650 for their cause. Sue Dean, the charity’s Treasurer, shared her thoughts on the experience:
"Everyone had a great time – Jon and his team had everything well organized, and they made everyone feel confident enough to enjoy the experience. People made a point of coming to tell me how good it was. The smiles and grins say it all!"
North West Ambulance Charity: £5,521 Raised
Thirteen abseilers from North West Ambulance Charity raised a collective £5,521, helping to support the essential work of the ambulance service and the communities they serve. Their team was full of pride after completing the event, and Fundraising Manager Roya Armstrong passed on her feedback:
"This was the first time we’ve had places at this abseil event, and we think you’ll agree that all 13 members did themselves and us very proud. All funds raised will go to enhancing the work of NWAS, supporting our staff, volunteers, patients, and the communities across the region."
Camp Simcha: £8,500 Raised
With 49 participants, mostly made up of children from local schools, Camp Simcha raised a remarkable £8,500. This charity provides invaluable support for families with ill children within the Jewish community. Michal Black, Community Relationship Manager, shared her positive feedback:
"We had a fantastic experience working with Jon and his team. It was a great day for everyone involved, and we are already looking forward to next year's abseil. The children absolutely loved it!"
Warrington Youth Zone: £1,269 Raised
Six participants from Warrington Youth Zone took on the challenge and raised £1,269 for their charity. Sarah Brennan, Fundraising Coordinator, commented:
"Everyone had an incredible time and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. It was especially rewarding to see some of the young people who attend our youth zone take part. According to the Big Bang staff, they loved the scariest part of the abseil!"
A Huge Thank You to All Participants from this Big Bang Abseil at Trafford Palazzo!
In total, the Big Bang Abseil raised a fantastic amount for these four charities, and we are still gathering the final figures from the remaining organisations. This incredible achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of every single fundraiser who took part.
